What does it mean when a website says “your password has appeared in a data breach”? This indicates that your password has been exposed in a known cyberattack or leak. How do hackers actually get my password? Passwords can be stolen through multiple methods including Trojans that spy on your device, phishing emails that trick you into entering credentials on fake websites, browser vulnerabilities, malicious browser extensions and unsecured public Wi-Fi networks
What is two-factor authentication (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA)? 2FA or MFA adds an extra layer of security beyond your password.
